Talent Chooses NKY

Meet Northern Kentucky professionals who found homes in the region after moving here for new career opportunities

Meg Erpenbeck

A transplant from North Carolina, Meg has found a home in Greater Cincinnati with her husband and family, spending the weekends cheering on the Bengals, visiting local restaurants, and enjoying the historic charm of the region. Meg moved to the region to work for the Cincinnati Business Courier and is now Communications Manager for Kenton County.

Meg says, “In Northern Kentucky, you can have all the benefits of living in a major urban area, but also the comfort of a walkable, family-centric neighborhood and what I love about this region is that you’re able to plant your roots here and your kids can come back and plant their roots here, too.”

Nick Lyktey

When Long Island native Nick Lyktey moved to Northern Kentucky to work at Gravity Diagnostics, he only planned to stay for a year. Six years later, he thinks he has found his forever home.

Gravity Diagnostics has grown from just 30 employees when he started to over 300 today. Nick said Northern Kentucky has an amazing sense of community and collaboration which makes it a great place for those working in the science or bio tech arenas.

Nick’s parents were surprised when he told them he was moving to Kentucky, but now they are major advocates of the area and are considering moving to the region themselves.
