Northern Kentucky’s Aerospace Industry

Aerospace encompasses the development and manufacture of aircraft, engines, parts, missiles, and space vehicles. With dozens of Tier 1 and Tier 2 aerospace suppliers located in NKY, the region is part of an aerospace corridor that stretches from Dayton to Louisville.

As the home of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), Northern Kentucky offers aerospace manufacturers access to the sixth-largest cargo airport in North America, the fifth busiest in the contiguous United States, and the 34th largest in the world.

“The demand for skilled labor is strong. We’ve worked with Gateway Community & Technical College in Northern Kentucky to develop courses specific to what we need. With Gateway, our team gains the skills to work smarter toward operational excellence and innovation in manufacturing.”
