Economic Development Specialist Jacob Edmonds is our longest tenured employee at BE NKY and he celebrated his three-year BE NKY-versary in October! We’re a little belated in celebrating. Jacob is a graduate of two Kentucky universities. He answers questions about what he’s learned over the last three years and his favorite BE NKY memory.

  1. What’s the most important thing you’ve learned since joining BE NKY?

    Communication is key. Having to face challenge after challenge during the pandemic emphasized that communication between all team members is vital for success.

  2. What do you want to accomplish or learn in the next year?

    I would like to learn more about the site development process. How does a site go from farmland or grass to an industrial building, what does it take to build an actual structure?

  3. What’s your favorite BE NKY memory?

    Our first Staff Meeting after everyone on the team was hired. The energy and enthusiasm for us to get “started” was palpable.

  4. What is Northern Kentucky’s best kept secret?

    Northern Kentucky’s best kept secret is its beauty. Most people travel around/through the counties by the interstate or highways, but a weekend drive through the countryside is wonderful. The tree lined country roads lead through the rolling hills and old family farms.

  5. What’s your favorite Cincinnati-style food or restaurant?

    The Cincinnati-style food that I get most excited about is goetta. While new to the dictionary, I’ve grown up on it. It isn’t as accessible as Skyline so it feels more like a treat to me.
