Administrative Project Manager Rachelle Creager is celebrating her three-year BE NKY-versary and VP of Strategy Christine Russell is celebrating two years at BE NKY. They answered a few questions about their aspirations, favorite memory and Northern Kentucky’s best kept secret. They both celebrate teamwork and share the same favorite food – read on to find out what is!

Rachelle shares her aspirations to be more involved in BE NKY’s accounting systems and her favorite Cincinnati region food.

  1. What’s the most important thing you’ve learned since joining BE NKY?

I was naĂŻve and never realized all the moving parts and partners involved in bringing new businesses to Northern Kentucky. There are so many things that go on behind the scenes. Teamwork is invaluable.

  2. What do you want to accomplish or learn in the next year?

I would like to be more involved with our payroll, HSA, and 401k entries that our accountant currently handles.

  3. What’s your favorite BE NKY memory?

We were all working remotely in December 2020 because of COVID, but we were still able to have an office holiday party albeit virtually.  I loved the thought that was put into the packages that were delivered to our houses just before the party and the games we played online.  This was the next best thing to being together in person.

  4. What is Northern Kentucky’s best kept secret?

Big Bone Lick State Park. You can hike, see bison, and learn about the prehistoric bones found there.

  5. What’s your favorite Cincinnati-style food or restaurant?

Goetta.  My love for it started with the homemade batches my grandma would make for the family.

  1. What’s the most important thing you’ve learned since joining BE NKY?

I have been amazed at the cooperation and partnership between elected officials, businesses, and non-profits at all levels and across all three counties. It’s refreshing to see people who may have different opinions but work together for the benefit of the community.

  2. What do you want to accomplish or learn in the next year?

BE NKY is launching four brand new strategic initiatives next year and I can’t wait to dig in and have an even bigger impact on the prosperity of Northern Kentucky.

  3. What’s your favorite BE NKY memory?

My first day at BE NKY was early November and I was surprised to see my phone blowing up on Thanksgiving morning from all my new co-workers wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving. BE NKY feels like a family and I’m really thankful to be a part of that.

  4. What is Northern Kentucky’s best kept secret?

The Bourbon Old Fashioned Gelato and Golden Gelato in Covington.

  5. What’s your favorite Cincinnati-style food or restaurant?

I’m not originally from Cincinnati, but I genuinely love goetta, especially alongside a cup of homemade grits.
