FORT MITCHELL, KY (Oct. 22, 2024) – The BE NKY Growth Partnership team continues to grow with the addition of Carolyn McNerney as an administrative specialist for BE NKY Vice President of Economic Development Kimberly Rossetti and Vice President of Strategy Christine Russell, who also serves as the executive director of the Northern Kentucky Port Authority (NKY Port), a managed entity of BE NKY.

In her role, McNerney will support the NKY Port Board of Directors and BE NKY’s economic development and strategy teams through multiple avenues, including meeting preparation and representing BE NKY at community events and investor meetings.

“I am so excited for this new opportunity for growth and development, and to utilize my skills to support the work of BE NKY,” said McNerney. “As a native of Northern Kentucky, I look forward to helping increase economic prosperity in our region and bettering the lives of all Northern Kentuckians.”

McNerney joins BE NKY after more than 25 years working for the Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Council, most recently as Executive Product Director. McNerney led fall product and cookie sales for 67 counties in Kentucky, a multi-million-dollar endeavor each year.

“The NKY Port is leading and assisting with multiple major projects in Northern Kentucky, including the Commonwealth Center for Biomedical Excellence and construction of SparkHaus and the OneNKY Center,” said Russell. “As Kimberly and I continue to take on more responsibilities and travel opportunities, we are happy to onboard Carolyn, whose leadership and managerial experience will help us keep both organizations running smoothly and efficiently.”

The activation of the Northern Kentucky Port Authority was one of four initiatives established by BE NKY in 2022 as part of our Build + Elevate NKY investor campaign, which raised more than $4.6 million.
