Northern Kentucky Is Where Ambition Takes Off

With a labor shed of 1.5 million people and 11,000 people currently employed in the aerospace sector in the Cincinnati region, Northern Kentucky has a strong core of both professional and production workers. The talent pipeline features 6,000 engineering graduates per year within 75 miles and rapidly growing advanced manufacturing technician programs at Gateway Community & Technical College. Additionally, CVG is the sixth-largest cargo airport in North America, home to the DHL Express Global Superhub and Amazon Air cargo hub.

CVG DRIVES
REGIONAL GROWTH

A global gateway powering
business, logistics, and momentum
in Northern Kentucky.

In 2025, the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport served more than 8.9 million passengers and handled 1.7 million tons of cargo, making it an important economic driver in the Cincinnati/NKY region. British Airways began direct service from CVG to London Heathrow in June 2023 and between March and October 2026, the airline expanded the route from five weekly flights to six. Additionally, Delta expanded their nonstop flights from CVG to Paris Charles de Gaulle to seven times per week from late March to early September 2026. This route normally features three flights per week.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Hangar Row at CVG

As North America’s fastest-growing cargo airport, CVG features 1,100 acres dedicated to air cargo and more than 570 acres available for cargo and logistics development.

CVG developed a plan to capitalize on the cargo momentum with Hangar Row, 350 acres of airside real estate on the southern side of its campus, to establish a comprehensive on-site facility, integrating additional aircraft repair and maintenance operations.

GLOBAL LOGISTICS
PARK AT CVG

CVG will continue to grow and diversify cargo operations with its Global Logistics Park. The airport is working with freight forwarders, developers, and other organizations that specialize in general cargo activity: shipping large parcels and high-value goods without time-sensitive delivery requirements. These businesses would complement the Amazon and DHL Express shipping operations at CVG. The airport is leveraging federal and state investments to rehab airfield pavements to support aircraft parking and cross dock capabilities at the planned new developments.
