Ft. Mitchell, Ky. – Site Selection Magazine, a national site consulting publication, has named BE NKY as one of the top 15 economic development groups in the United States.

BE NKY was awarded a 2018 Mac Conway Award for Excellence in Economic Development, presented by Site Selection Magazine, and will be highlighted in the May issue. Only 15 economic development groups – out of more than 5,000 nationally – are selected for this award each year.

“BE NKY is proud to be recognized for the regional economic development taking place in our region. Our competitive business climate and collaborative community and state partnerships make our incredible progress possible,” said Dan Tobergte, President & CEO of BE NKY.

Award winners are determined by an index that examines corporate facility investment projects in US metro areas as tracked by Site Selection’s Conway Database for projects announced in 2017. Scores are determined based on total projects, total investment for those projects, and total jobs calculated on a per capita basis for the metro region.

In 2017, BE NKY reported 27 new market entry and expansion projects which announced more than 4,000 new jobs and $1.75B in new capital investment in the region, including a $1.49B investment by Amazon Prime Air for the location of its cargo hub at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
