FT. MITCHELL, KY ( September 7, 2022) – The BE NKY Growth Partnership (BE NKY) recently added two new employees.
Last month, Client Relations Specialist Lauren Mulcahy and Communications Specialist Sydney Murray joined the organization.
“With the four new initiatives we are pursuing in the Build + Elevate NKY campaign, we are adding new work and new roles to our team,” said BE NKY CEO Lee Crume. “As we grow as a company, and pursue our vision of prosperity for all Northern Kentuckians, we needed additional support for our economic development and marketing teams.”
Mulcahy graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a certificate in urban planning, and recently served as a senior intern at BE NKY from 2019-2021.
In the client relations role, Mulcahy will work with both new and existing clients during the project management process, including assisting with site selection and managing responses to requests from site selectors.
Mulcahy will also be responsible for managing BE NKY’s Sites and Buildings portal through ZoomProspector, analyzing and preparing project pipeline data and metrics, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date community data sources.
“Returning to BE NKY was a decision as exciting for me to make as it was easy,” Mulcahy said. “It’s not often you get the opportunity to come back and work with a team who already feels like family. There are so many incredible things happening in Northern Kentucky, and BE NKY has a lot to do with it. I’m very proud to be working with such a dynamic team and learning from their expertise.”
Murray graduated from Indiana University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
In the communications role, Murray will assist the director of marketing in developing and executing the company’s annual marketing plan. Additional responsibilities include managing the production of the annual report, and writing press releases, e-newsletters, website copy and social media and blog posts.
Murray has previous experience as a newspaper reporter and a board member of the Greater Harrison Chamber of Commerce. She most recently worked for the Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Council in Northern Kentucky.
“I’ve loved working in, and getting to know, the Northern Kentucky community during the past year,” Murray said. “I’m excited to continue to work in this area and help the community thrive.”
Mulcahy and Murray both entered new roles within the growing company. They will support the BE NKY team’s overall mission, including the goals of the Build + Elevate NKY campaign, which was launched earlier this year.
BE NKY is currently hiring for two other new roles: Workforce Development Manager and Real Estate and Project Specialist.
The Workforce Development Manager will be responsible for leading the Build + Elevate NKY workforce solutions initiative. This position will work to determine the root causes of Northern Kentucky’s workforce challenges, engage existing tradable sector employers in ascertaining current workforce needs and gaps, and identify workforce trends to prepare for future business growth.
The Real Estate and Project Specialist will perform real estate-related special projects, as well as assist with activation of the Northern Kentucky Port Authority and evaluation of sites and buildings for commercial development or redevelopment.
