Supply Chain
Where Logistics Move the World
NKY: The Heartbeat of Global Logistics
Northern Kentucky is a major logistics hub, offering businesses a strategic location and strong infrastructure to power efficient supply chain operations. Sitting within a one-day drive of more than half of the U.S. population, the region links companies to key domestic and international markets.Â
Amazon rapidly scaled its $1.5 billion Air Hub at CVG, launching operations in August 2021; CVG now functions as Amazon Air's primary U.S. air cargo hub. DHL also operates its North American super-hub at CVG and has expanded many times. Three major interstates cross the region, while the Ports of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky rank among the busiest inland port districts in the nation.Â
Beyond transportation, the region provides a skilled workforce and strong institutional support that render supply chain management both efficient and cost-effective. As demand for faster delivery grows, Northern Kentucky attracts businesses seeking a location with resilient supply chain solutions.Â
