Erlanger, Ky. (August 31, 2017) ― Delta Air Lines (Delta) and the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) are celebrating 20 years of nonstop service to Paris, Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). The direct flight to Paris is the only nonstop Europe service in all of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, and has served 2.5 million passengers since it began in 1997.

“For 20 years, Delta has crossed the Atlantic providing unparalleled service for both Business and Leisure travelers to the City of Lights and beyond,” said Christy Blackburn, Station Manager – CVG. “We look forward to its continued success at CVG in anticipation of another celebration in 20 years.”

Delta Air Lines is the largest carrier at CVG with more than 80 peak-day departures serving 35 non-stop destinations with more than 1,700 locally based employees.  As a result of an expanded schedule and placement of larger aircraft in the CVG market, Delta local passenger volume has grown year-over-year for 22 consecutive months. In June 2017, Delta’s local passenger traffic grew 17 percent year-over-year.

“We’re very pleased to join with Delta to celebrate 20 years of nonstop service to Paris Charles de Gaulle,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “Delta has been a valued partner with CVG, and this flight, in particular, has been important to both business and leisure travelers. We look forward to their overall continued passenger growth at our airport.”
