BE NKY launched a series of CEO roundtable conversations in early June to hear from the region’s business leaders about where they see opportunities or challenges for their companies and the region.
Lee Crume, President and CEO of BE NKY, and Kimberly Rossetti, VP of Economic Development, spoke with 20 Northern Kentucky business leaders from a variety of industry sectors to gain an understanding of how COVID-19 has affected their operations, workforce and projections for 2020 revenues, growth and recovery. They also discussed diversity and inclusion within their companies and the region.
Crume shares, “The conversations revealed that primary industry company leaders are cautiously optimistic about recovery and the majority of them have maintained full employment and most are hiring.” A short report covering learnings, action items, diversity & inclusion and the need for a skilled workforce in Northern Kentucky can be downloaded here.
The CEO outreach initiative continues to ensure that input from the full range of industry sectors and companies is included. The BE NKY team is taking the key learnings from these conversations and integrating them into our efforts to serve the businesses in the region and attract new companies to Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties.
