BE NKY Growth Partnership recently hired Riley McLaren as a full-time client relations specialist. McLaren previously served as an economic development intern for BE NKY from August 2022 to August 2023.

In his new role, he assists the client relations managers with the project management process for new and existing clients, works with companies through site selection, and manages the project team’s responses to requests for information.

He also supports clients and the economic development team by managing BE NKY’s Sites and Buildings portal through Zoom Prospector, analyzing and preparing project pipeline data and metrics, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date community data sources.

“Riley has been an invaluable team member, assisting not only the economic development team, but all departments within BE NKY,” said Vice President of Economic Development Kimberly Rossetti. “He was a great intern who was eager to learn about economic development. We didn’t want to lose good talent and knew he’d be a great addition to our team.”

This past spring, McLaren graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in urban planning from the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.

He previously completed co-ops and internships with Anderson Township Planning and Zoning, Warren County Regional Planning Commission, and Olmsted Township Administration.

“I work with a great team at BE NKY and am excited to join the positive and uplifting culture,” said McLaren. “BE NKY is on an upward trajectory, and I love that everyone is very involved in the community and constantly working to improve Northern Kentucky.”
