Sydney Murray

Sydney is a Communications Specialist at BE NKY Growth Partnership (BE NKY). She assists the Vice President of Marketing and Communications in developing and executing the company’s annual marketing plan. Responsibilities include managing the production of the annual report, and writing press releases, e-newsletters, website copy, and social media and blog posts.

Previously, Sydney worked for the Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Council. As a membership specialist, she recruited new members to the organization, assisted volunteers, and led after-school programming for girls.

Prior to working with Girl Scouts, Sydney primarily worked as a newspaper reporter, including for The Cincinnati Enquirer, The Newark Advocate, and The Harrison Press. Her work at The Harrison Press led to a position on the board of the Greater Harrison Chamber of Commerce from 2020-2021.

Sydney graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Outside work, Sydney enjoys watching sports, learning German, and spending time with her extended family. She is also a member of Cincideutsch and a student at the Tri-State German American School.
